wonder
when i was about... 7, i was given an xbox 360 while living in a hostel with my family, with it the usual games a 7 year old would play, modern warfare 3... (the survival mode was awesome still to this day as a game but that's not our wonder game here).
The game was Final Fantasy XIII-2, now I never had the first in the trilogy.
The game wasn't really special, but I liked it nonetheless, what caught me was the music and sets in the game. Oh my the music, completely different to every other game in the series and then it does avant garde music and then never again, all generic fantasy/epic music before and after.
The music upon entering bresha ruins in chapter 2 really hit me, I don't know why but it just did. It installed some magical wonder in me. The thing about this game is that it's disc was scratched, i would always get an infinite loading screen (or perhaps my patience was too short in hindsight) and i would have to restart the console. I was barred from finishing the game until about 16 years old where I finally beat the gamebrought a ps3 and a copy of the game and with it finally beat the game.
I tried my best to get as close to 100%ing it but in classic fashion it is tedious endgame work i cant be bothered to use guides for.
Anyways before the ps3 I always had wanted to play it on a computer for some reason.. I guess now im finally getting one i could replay it, but the magic has already been lost. Oh and I hear the pc port is unplayable without fixes..
