6 hours of torture and continuing

ok so, I got the laptop, it's freaking awesome and in almost perfect condition it came in its box and everything

worked out of the box after charging everything was fine, installed steam, other stuff and then it noticed there were two drives in file explorer, the c: drive and a d: drive so I thought oh, do I have two ssds in it? so I opened up device manager to see that there was only 1 physical ssd but 2 partitions split in half of the capacity of the ssd (1tb so 500gb each) so I wanted to merge them because I KNOW windows throws a fit if the c drive is full and somethings will refuse to be installed on it, so I thought I'd merge them with minitool wizard, so I downloaded it and ran it and went to figure out the problem, windows had put its recovery partition in between the two 500gb partitions, splitting them in all ways since windows can only merge partitions that are next to each other for some reason, now I did not think to "move" the recovery partition over and ended up deleting it instead (our blunder in wondrous amounts of torture for me) which didn't affect anything immediately aha...

so I put in the program, delete recovery partition, merge the c drive with the other one and alls good?

I hit run and it appears to work, it says it needs to restart and boots up into some plainest environment which the minitool is apparently working, so I go leave it to do it's job.

I come back to a black screen, oh, it must've finished and gone to sleep!

NOPE!!!!

instead (yes I'm using syntax finally waow..) it does nothing when I tap enter to wake it up, move the mouse around, nothing. So I go to turn it off, turn it back on and it's just...

blank. ??? what's wrong? I it didn't even show the boot splashscreen? and here's were the panic set in!!

i don't even remember what it did but it went something along the lines of the ssd being muddled up and windows not being able to boot off of it, so I needed to unscrew the bloody laptop apart, be careful NOT to break it and take the ssd out, put a usb drive in and install windows somehow, thankfully the sdd wasn't destroyed just... idk???? but as soon as I put win11 instal media on it it recognised the ssd, wiped it clean and started anew ending the nightmare!!!!!

and now i have to install all the drivers, browsers, games stuff, haven't even installed nividia app yet or even tested it's performance yet

do not touch the windows recovery partition.
